Kalhan is a New York City-based journalist, unabashed little monster, high-heel enthusiast and cat mom who lives by the motto of Don Quixote’s Impossible Dream, “willing to march into hell for a heavenly cause.” She’s proud to be a reporter for The Daily Mail’s MailOnilne U.S. and is living in the UK until January 2016. Her focus in the industry includes international affairs, conflict in the Middle East and LGBT issues. She was formerly an associate multimedia journalist with Naples Daily News in Naples, Fla. and served as editor-in-chief of Florida Gulf Coast University’s student newspaper, Eagle News. In her spare time, Kalhan is working on a documentary about LGBT rights in Belize. When she’s not in the newsroom, you’ll find her taking way too many pictures of her cat, obsessively watching any documentary she can find and listening to Lady Gaga, St. Vincent and anything by Lin-Manuel Miranda on repeat. If you have a story, she wants to hear it.
